Three constructions, different finishing steps

Buyers may use the terms “single-layer” and “double-layer” differently. For an accurate quotation, specify the material stack and the work to be completed locally.

1. Conventional paint-finished blanks

Construction: aluminum base + reflective sheeting.

After embossing, the raised characters require roller-applied paint to produce contrasting lettering. This is an economical choice for workshops with an established painting process, but it adds a separate finishing operation.

2. Conventional foil-interlayer blanks

Construction: black aluminum base + intermediate aluminum foil + reflective sheeting.

After embossing, the covering over the raised characters is peeled away to reveal the black surface. No additional roller painting is required. Based on our processing experience, some foil-interlayer materials can become harder to peel as summer temperatures and processing conditions change, increasing rework and material waste. Performance varies with the material and handling conditions.

3. SignsYeah foil-free emboss-and-peel blanks

Construction: aluminum base + specially selected peelable reflective sheeting, without an intermediate aluminum foil layer.

After embossing, peel away the covering over the raised characters to reveal black lettering. The construction is designed to make peeling easier and more consistent while eliminating the additional roller-painting step. Its purpose is to simplify local finishing and help reduce peeling-related rework; results should be confirmed through sample trials with your own equipment and processing conditions.

Watch the peeling process

The short workshop demonstration shows the surface covering being removed from embossed characters to reveal the black lettering beneath.

Processing demonstration, approximately 7 seconds. This is not a weathering test, certification or guarantee of performance at every temperature.

Confirm the semi-finished supply specification

  • Supply stage: blank or semi-finished plates for local embossing and finishing, as agreed.
  • Common supply sizes: 520 x 110 mm and 300 x 150 mm.
  • Common thickness range: 0.6-1.0 mm, confirmed for each project.
  • Surface and construction: reflective sheeting, base finish and peeling or painting method selected for the intended process.
  • Artwork and packing: layout, borders, holes and packing requirements agreed before production; plates are packed before dispatch.

These are general supply options, not a statement of the legally required dimensions or approved format for every Moroccan vehicle. The buyer’s applicable registration requirements, artwork and acceptance criteria must be confirmed before production.

Production and design references

Validate a sample before bulk production

Check embossing quality, character edges, peeling behaviour and background appearance using your intended dies and equipment. Discuss transport, storage and local processing temperatures, and agree the inspection criteria before approving bulk supply. Easier peeling in a demonstration does not by itself establish long-term outdoor durability or regulatory compliance.
